CapyScout for Slack

Your team's prospecting, in Slack.

CapyScout is not a CRM. It is where your team decides who to contact today and why, and now it works where your team already talks: your drafts by DM, signals to claim in the channel.

100 free credits when you install. Included in every plan.

How teams use it

Decide who to contact today, together.

Each person gets their own work by DM. The channel gets what the whole team should see.

Your day

Start the day with your work in one DM.

At 8:30 your time on workdays, CapyScout sends you what is waiting: drafts to approve, edit or skip, new replies, and tasks like calls. Nothing to do, no message.

Approve and send goes out from your own inbox with the same checks as the app, and the card updates so you know it went.

Signals

Signals the team can claim.

When a company you watch changes, a card lands in your team channel with the source. Claim it, add it to a campaign or watch it, right from the card.

Each company gets one thread, and the card says when it is already in Dana's campaign, so nobody contacts the same person twice.

See the signal library
Lead searches

Find companies without leaving the thread.

Type /capyscout find and what you are looking for, or use the Find leads shortcut. Companies that fit come back in the thread with a fit score.

Save them as a list, or start a campaign from them. The campaign opens in CapyScout, where you choose the messages and how it runs.

Ask CapyScout

Ask in plain words, get work done.

Open Ask CapyScout in Slack's AI pane. Ask who to contact today, find companies like your best customer, check a company, or see how your campaigns are doing.

Answers end in buttons like Review drafts or Save as list, so a question turns into the next step.

Privacy and permissions

It reads only what you send it.

Plain words on what the app can see and do in your Slack.

What it reads
  • - Messages you send to CapyScout, in its DM or the Ask CapyScout pane.
  • - A message you run a CapyScout shortcut on, like Research with CapyScout.
  • - Links to capyscout.com, so they show a company card.
  • - Names and emails of people in your workspace, only to match them to their CapyScout login.
What it never does
  • - Never reads your channels or other conversations.
  • - Never uses Slack data to train AI models.
  • - Never charges more in Slack: actions cost the same credits as the app.
  • - Never stays after you leave: disconnect anytime, and we delete the tokens right away.

Common questions

What does the CapyScout Slack app do?

It brings your team's prospecting into Slack. Each person gets their day by DM at 8:30 their time with drafts to approve, edit or skip, new replies and tasks. Your team channel gets signal cards anyone can claim, add to a campaign or watch. Anyone can run a lead search with /capyscout find or the Find leads shortcut, and ask CapyScout questions in Slack's AI pane.

Do I need a CapyScout account?

Yes. When you add the app from Slack you sign in to CapyScout, or create an account in about a minute with your work email filled in from Slack. Then you pick your team channel. Installing adds 100 free credits to your account, once.

How does CapyScout know who is who in Slack?

We match each person in Slack to their CapyScout login by their work email, automatically. If the emails differ, type /capyscout link and follow the link once. Actions then run as that person, so drafts send from their own inbox.

Can teammates act on each other's campaigns from Slack?

Slack follows the same team rules as the app. Members approve drafts and change only their own campaigns. Owners and admins can act on every campaign. DMs about someone's work go only to that person.

What does the Slack app cost?

It is included in every plan. Actions in Slack, like a lead search or looking up a company, use the same credits as the app. Your daily DM, alerts and signal cards are free. Installing adds 100 free credits, once. See pricing.

What can the CapyScout app read in Slack?

Only messages you send to CapyScout in its DM or the Ask CapyScout pane, messages you run a CapyScout shortcut on, and capyscout.com links. It never reads your channels. We do not use Slack data to train AI models.

Which channel gets what?

Type /capyscout settings to choose a channel for signals, wins, the weekly scoreboard, the daily digest and daily searches. Wins are off until you turn them on. A campaign can also post to its own channel, set in its Campaign Settings.

How do I disconnect the Slack app?

Click Disconnect under Integrations in CapyScout, or remove the app in Slack. We delete the Slack tokens right away and remove Slack-linked people and message references within 30 days. More in Slack app support.
