Your closed-won customers are the best description of who buys from you. The Wins page (in the left menu under Find) turns them into a profile, a search, and a signal.
1. Add your wins
- One at a time - a website or work email is best. For a local customer on a personal email, add the business name and city and we find its Google listing.
- CSV - download the template on the Wins page. Columns are matched by name (Website, Amount, Close Date, Lead Source, Status, Lost Reason and so on), so most CRM exports work as-is. Up to 500 rows per file.
- CRM - import closed-won (and optionally closed-lost) deals from HubSpot, Pipedrive or Attio. If you connected before this existed, reconnect once so CapyScout can read deals.
Mark a customer as OK to reference only if they agreed to be named. Outreach never names anyone else.
2. See what they have in common
We read each customer (industry, size, location, website technology, local category) and compare every trait with the whole market. A trait shows up only when it is much more common in your customers than in companies in general. Bigger deals count more. Remove any trait that is a coincidence and the profile updates.
With 6 or more customers, wins are split into customer groups. With 4 or more, the profile check hides each customer in turn and tells you how many the rest of the profile would have found.
3. Learn from churn and lost deals
Set a win to Churned or Lost and add the reason. Traits common in those accounts but rare in customers who stayed are shown as things to avoid, and companies with them are capped at a 40% match.
4. Find twins and watch for matches
Find more like these opens Discover with a search built from each customer group. Each win also has Like this and Its competitors searches - a customer's competitors sell to the same buyers.
The Matches your best customers signal runs on every account you watch. It fires when a company reaches your match threshold (70% by default), adds to its score, and can start a signal campaign. Change the threshold or pause it on the Wins page.
What it costs
Reading a customer uses 1 credit when we find its company profile. Comparing with the market, searching for twins and the signal itself are included.
