The CapyScout Slack app asks only for what it needs, and it never reads your channels.
What it reads
- Messages you send to CapyScout in its DM or the Ask CapyScout pane.
- A message you run a CapyScout shortcut on, such as Research with CapyScout.
- Links to capyscout.com, so they can show a company card.
- Names and emails of people in your workspace, only to match them to their CapyScout login.
It does not ask for permission to read channel history, so it cannot read your channels or other conversations.
What it stores
- Your workspace ID and name.
- The bot token Slack gives the app, encrypted at rest.
- Slack user IDs and emails of people who use the app, to match them to their CapyScout login.
- The IDs of the channels you choose.
- References to messages the app posted, so it can update cards and keep one thread per company.
We do not use Slack data to train AI models. Actions in Slack cost the same credits as the app.
Disconnect and deletion
Disconnect anytime: in CapyScout, go to Integrations, find Slack and click Disconnect, or remove the app in Slack. We delete the Slack tokens immediately. Slack-linked people and message references are removed within 30 days. Your CapyScout account, lists and campaigns stay until you delete them.
