Signals and claims in Slack

Claim a company from the signal card so nobody double-contacts it.

When a company you watch changes - a new leader, a funding round, a hiring burst - CapyScout posts a card to the channel you chose for signals. The card shows the company, the signal, the source, and the fit score.

Buttons on the card

  • Claim - makes the company yours. The card updates to Claimed by you, and the whole channel sees it.
  • Add to campaign - pick one of your campaigns; the company joins it as a new lead.
  • Watch - keep watching the company for more signals.
  • Open - opens the company in CapyScout.

Nobody contacts the same person twice

If the company is already in a teammate's campaign, the card says so, for example Already in Dana's campaign. Members can add companies to their own campaigns only; owners and admins can act on every campaign, the same as in the app.

One thread per company

Later news about the same company - a new signal, a reply, a booked meeting - is posted as a reply in the first card's thread, so the channel stays readable. When many signals arrive at once, CapyScout sends one roll-up card instead.

To choose which channel gets signals, see Choose which channel gets what.
